Hebrews

We've been studying the book of Hebrews in our Bible study and it got me to thinking about the scripture in chapter 2 verse 1.(Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at anytime we should let them slip).

Earnest heed is a nautical term in the Greek. You could think of it like this.Taking a ship/boat's rope and tying it to the mooring of the dock so it can't drift away. So what I get from this scripture is that it's kinda like asking the reader... Have you docked?  Have you tied yourself to the gospel?   Many people, who hear the Gospel, are like boats that wait to dock, but drift away because of inaction.

I found this pic and was inspired to place the verse on it. Come study Hebrews with us this Thursday @ 10AM.

Sunday School

Sometimes we forget just how important Sunday School can be. I was looking back at some of my old pics and found this old pic of me (far left) in my Sunday School class. I grew up in Brown County, Indiana and went to a small church there called Locust Grove Pentecostal. The impact that my Sunday School Teacher Pam Branham had on me won't soon be forgotten. Those were some of the most wonderful times learning about Jesus.

Come to Sunday School!
