Applying the Holy Ointment
It is the Spirit's business to console and cheer the hearts of God's people. He does convince of sin; he does illuminate and instruct; but still the main part of his business lies in making glad the hearts of the renewed, in confirming the weak, and lifting up all those that be bowed down. Whatever the Holy Ghost may not be, he is evermore the Comforter to the Church; and this age is peculiarly the dispensation of the Holy Spirit, in which Christ cheers us not by his personal presence, as he shall do by-and-bye, but by the indwelling and constant abiding of the Holy Ghost the Comforter. Now, mark you, as the Holy Spirit is the Comforter, Christ is the comfort. The Holy Spirit consoles, but Christ is the consolation. If I may use the figure, the Holy Spirit is the Physician, but Christ is the medicine. He heals the wound, but it is by applying the holy ointment of Christ's name and grace. He takes not of his own things, but of the things of Christ. We are not consoled to-day by new revelations, but by the old revelation explained, enforced, and lit up with new splendour by the presence and power of the Holy Ghost the Comforter. If we give to the Holy Spirit the Greek name of Paraclete, as we sometimes do, then our heart confers on our blessed Lord Jesus the title of the Paraklesis. If the one be the Comforter, the other is the comfort.
Encourage your brother and sister in the Lord today and lift them up in prayer.

What Tes Did Today
This weather today has really got me into the decorating mood. So I went for it! lol I thought maybe it was a bit early but someone said after Sept.1st it's fair game and besides that will leave me more time for my outside projects. I think I just might make a homemade scarecrow. Now all I need is some homemade chili in the crock pot.
Fall is just around the corner.....
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. As the leaves begin to change and all the beautiful colors emerge around us we begin to think about fall decorating projects. There's just something about fall that invites you to bring warm colors and natural materials into the home for fall centerpieces and decorations. Here are a few ideas for beautiful table centerpieces, floral arrangements, and entertaining. If any of you would like to share some pics of your fall decor inside or out. Just let me know. For other examples not listed such as wreaths, scarecrows, outside entrance decor, etc.......
Here are a few examples below that have inspired me for this coming fall.
Sally's Latest Project
Sally refinished an old cabinet by sanding, painting it black, and then distressing it for the worn look. I think she did an amazing job. She's quite a crafty lady. lol

Jeremiah 29:11
Dear Woman of God,
Be still for a while and praise God for His favor, His grace and His awesomeness. God is able to do the impossible and is always near. He loves us unconditionally. Together, let's praise Him with one voice this day. Let's all say this prayer this day:
Dear God, This is my friend whom I love and this is my prayer for her. Help her live her life to the fullest. Please cause her to excel above her expectations. Help her to shine in the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect her at all times, lift her up when she needs You the most, and let her know when she walks with You, she will always be safe.
